REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 14 years of age and in 9th grade or above to join

  • Unfortunately, 12th graders are not allowed to join due to our extended waitlist.

  • Cadets are required to maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher to remain active in the program

  • Cadets are required to attend 2 meetings per month that occur on Wednesday nights

APPLICATION

  • Complete the application below thoroughly and make sure to fill every box

  • Incorrect applications will need to be filled out again through the website

  • A mandatory orientation will be held for those selected for the next class and will be held a month prior to starting

RECRUIT ACADEMY

  • Cadets will attend a mandatory recruit academy that runs every Wednesday for 6 weeks straight at 5:30 - 8:30 PM

  • Failure to attend the recruit academy will bump the Cadet to the next class or lead to their termination

  • Cadets will learn the history of PBCFR, basic fire and EMS skills, and fire department culture and etiquette

  • Cadets will be physically active and be tested on their knowledge and skills throughout the academy

ONCE YOU'VE MADE IT

  • Once the Cadet has completed the recruit academy they will be assigned a Battalion, Company, and Captain

  • Cadets will be assigned their own personal set of Bunker Gear to take home to be responsible for and train with

  • Cadets will then be part of the Cadet Family and join in on all of our fun activities, trainings, and trips
